Game Day: Spurs vs. Lakers Open Thread

Posted by J Rog on February 8th, 2010 under Basketball

GREAT ODIN’S RAVEN.  The Spurs may not need to stop Kobe tonight, because he may not play, nursing an ankle injury.  No Bynum and possibly no Kobe?  Merry Christmas Coach Pop.

If Kobe does end up playing, against the Spurs, he’s generally not THE deciding factor.  The Spurs will let him have his 30 points, its what the Spurs defense can do to the rest of the team that determines the outcome.  This game will be decided in the fourth quarter.  We know how much we love those these days.

Please leave us your thoughts, comments, predictions, and anything else appropriate (or not) below.

  1. I have no predictions. This team has too much potential to win, yet not shown enough for me to believe that this will definitely be a victory too. That said, Tim Duncan will stomp a mud hole in Pau Gasol’s ass. Or DJ Mbenga’s…

  2. Just got back from the UT game. At least the Spurs are hanging in there.

  3. Fell apart in the fourth quarter again. Can’t give up 28 points to close out a game. Spurs, Longhorns….heartache once again.
